Ingredients (Makes 4 parathas)

For the Dough

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup water (as needed)

  • 2 medium potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder (optional)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro

  • 2 tbsp melted ghee or oil
  • Non-stick cooking spray

Instructions

1. Prepare the Dough

  1. In a bowl, mix whole wheat flour and salt. Gradually add water, kneading until a soft dough forms.
  2. Cover and let rest for 20 minutes.

2. Make the Filling

  1. In a bowl, combine mashed potatoes, chopped onion, ground cumin, garam masala, chili powder, cilantro, and salt. Mix well.

3. Assemble the Parathas

  1. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions. Roll each portion into a small disc.
  2. Place a spoonful of the potato filling in the center of each disc.
  3. Gather the edges of the dough to seal the filling and roll gently into a flat circle.

4. Preheat Air Fryer

  1. Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).

5. Cook the Parathas

  1. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Brush each paratha with melted ghee or oil and place it in the basket.
  3. Air fry for 5-6 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.

6. Serve
